Tue Jan 22 – Fri Apr 12
We will take reservations for academic attire (caps and gowns) rental on line (Jan 22 – Apr 12), over the phone (add $5.00 for phone service fee), and in person (Mar 5 – Apr 12) at the Service Counter in the Hard Lines Department (711 State St.) for the May 2013 commencement ceremonies. You may also sign up at our Health Sciences Learning Center location (Mar 5 – Apr 12).
Fri Mar 15
Last day to purchase academic attire for the May 2013 ceremony. Rentals continue through Apr 12, 2013.
Fri Apr 12
Last Official Day for reserving rental academic attire
Sat Apr 13 – Mon Apr 15
Days of Grace. Customers may come in these three additional days after the official deadline and reserve academic attire without penalty.
Tue Apr 16 – Mon Apr 22
Regular Rentals are closed – Late rental period is now operative.
All Candidates and Faculty - Late Rental Period. Customer orders, pays rental fee & late fee ($10), and reserves academic attire for pick up in December.
Tue Apr 23
All cap and gown orders are on hiatus.
Bachelors – See May 08.
Professional degree candidates and Faculty – See May 15 @ 2:00pm.
Wed May 08
Walk-In cap and gown rental period begins for bachelor's candidates Candidates order, pay rental fee & walk in fee ($15), and pick up academic attire - at 711 State Street only. Continues through 12:00 noon on Fri May 17.
* A limited amount of academic attire has been ordered for the walk in customer. Attire is available on a first come, first serve basis.
Wed May 15 – Thur May 16
9:00am – 7:00pm - Distribution of pre-reserved academic attire.
Fri May 17
9:00am – 11:00am - Distribution of pre-reserved academic attire.
Wed May 15 @ 2pm – Thur May 16 @ 7:00pm
Faculty, Master's and Doctor's candidate walk-in program begins at 2:00pm and continues through 7:00pm on Thur May 16.
* A limited amount of academic attire has been ordered for the walk in customer. Attire is available on a first come, first serve basis.
Fri May 17
12:00pm – Everything not picked up by this time will be packed up and taken to the Kohl Center, Gate A, level one for pick up there one hour before your ceremony.
Commencement Weekend
All academic attire returns should be done at the Kohl Center, Gate A. Returns that do come to The University Book Store (711 State Street) will be done at the Hard Lines service counter on the 1st floor during regular business hours.
