December 2025 Timeline

SEPT 8–NOV 10
Academic attire rental – save $15.00, early Badger pricing.
Rent online (Sept 8 thru Nov 10) for the December 2025 commencement ceremony.
Oct 15
Last day to purchase academic attire
Last day to purchase academic attire to arrive in time for the December 2025 ceremony. Rentals continue through Dec 10.
Nov 8–Dec 10
Academic attire rental continues (regular pricing applies)

Rent online (Nov 8 thru Dec 10) for the December 2025 commencement ceremony.

Dec 11–Dec 13
RENT IN STORE @ 711 STATE STREET IN PERSON ONLY. ONLINE ORDERS ARE CLOSED.

DEC 13
Online orders must be picked up by the close of business Saturday (Friday for the HSLC) at your designated pickup location.

Dec 14
UW Winter Commencement

Return attire after use. All returns must be made by 7pm Dec 16.

Make sure you check the New Carry-In Policy for the Kohl Center here!

Bachelors – return gown, keep cap and tassel.
Faculty, Doctors and Masters – return gown and hood, keep cap and tassel.

Attire is RFID chipped for identification and return confirmation.

Dec 14–Dec 16
Academic Attire Returns

Academic Attire returns may be done during regular store hours at any University Book Store location. All returns must be completed by 7:00pm Tuesday Dec 16.

Returns not completed by 7:00pm Dec 16 will incur a $20 service fee.

May 2026 Commencement
Rentals will begin February 3, 2026
