May 2026 Timeline
May 2026 Grads – still have your attire? Please return it as soon as possible. Attire is RFID chipped for identification and return confirmation.
Academic Attire returns may be done during regular store hours at any University Book Store location.
Bachelors – return gown, keep cap and tassel.
Faculty, Doctors and Masters – return gown and hood, keep
cap and tassel.
Cap & Gown rental reservations for December 2026 will start on September 13, 2026.

UW Spring Commencement Weekend
Return attire after use. All returns must be made by 7pm May 12th.
Academic Attire returns may be done during regular store hours at any University Book Store location. All returns must be completed by 7:00pm Tuesday May 12th.

Faculty, Doctors and Masters – return gown and hood,
keep cap and tassel.
Returns not completed by 7:00 pm May 12th will incur a $20 service fee.
